Provide a digital signature with

Signature and mPKI

To confirm both the message’s integrity (authenticity) and the sender’s legitimacy, SEPPmail allows outgoing emails to contain digital signatures. “Certificates” are required for this purpose. They are personal, public keys where affiliation to a specific individual is usually confirmed by accredited certification authorities (CAs).

To simplify the administrative effort involved in creating digital signatures and the company-wide rollout of certificates, SEPPmail relies on the integration of trustworthy certification authorities (CAs). This significantly speeds up the entire public key infrastructure (PKI) process. The only thing that has to be defined is the people needed to sign emails – any further steps are carried out automatically by SEPPmail. The Secure Email Gateway requests a certificate from an accredited certification authority for the first outgoing email from the user. The email is then automatically signed in the user’s name, thus confirming its origin and integrity.

The SEPPmail Secure Email Gateway supports the seamless integration of selected CAs and thus the automatic creation of digital signatures.

The process supported by SEPPmail is supported by all commonly used email clients. Accordingly, recipients do not require any specific software components or tools for checking digital signatures.
