In den letzten Wochen haben uns Kunden und Partner vereinzelt dar\u00fcber berichtet, dass der Betrieb einer SEPPmail VM in Azure nicht m\u00f6glich war. Ausgehende E-Mails auf Port 25 zu senden, ging trotz Azure Enterprise Subscription und \u00d6ffnen eines Microsoft Support-Calls nicht, somit war eine Parallel-Integration zu einem E-Mail-System nicht konfigurierbar.<\/p>

Bestehende SEPPmail VMs d\u00fcrften weiterhin funktionieren. Bei einem Wechsel zu einer anderen Subscription kann es zu Einschr\u00e4nkungen oder gar zum Funktionsstopp kommen.<\/p>

Wir m\u00f6chten nun proaktiv darauf hinweisen, dass Microsoft offensichtlich den Einsatzbereich von SMTP-sendenden Devices schrittweise einschr\u00e4nkt. Hier ist nun ein Status aus unserer Sicht, ohne Anspruch auf Vollst\u00e4ndigkeit.<\/p>

Aktuelle Richtlinien von Azure<\/strong><\/p>

  • Enterprise- und Microsoft-Kundenvertr\u00e4ge (EA und MCA-E):<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

    F\u00fcr VMs in diesen Abonnements ist der ausgehende SMTP-Verkehr \u00fcber Port 25 standardm\u00e4\u00dfig nicht blockiert.<\/p>

    Allerdings ist Port 25 bei Enterprise Dev\/Test-Abonnements standardm\u00e4\u00dfig blockiert. Um diese Sperre aufzuheben, k\u00f6nnen Sie im Azure-Portal unter der Ressource \u201eVirtuelles Netzwerk\u201c die Funktion \u201eDiagnose und Behebung\u201c nutzen und eine Ausnahme beantragen. Nach Genehmigung muss die betroffene VM neu gestartet werden, um die \u00c4nderungen zu \u00fcbernehmen.<\/p>

    • Andere Abonnementstypen:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

      Bei Abonnements au\u00dferhalb von EA und MCA-E blockiert Azure standardm\u00e4\u00dfig ausgehende Verbindungen \u00fcber Port 25. Diese Richtlinie dient der Verbesserung der Sicherheit und der Einhaltung von Industriestandards.<\/p>

      Strategien f\u00fcr VMs, die Port 25 zwingend ben\u00f6tigen<\/strong><\/p>

      1. Ausnahmeantrag f\u00fcr Port 25 stellen<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

        Falls Ihr Abonnement es erlaubt, k\u00f6nnen Sie eine Ausnahme beantragen, um Port 25 zu entsperren. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor:<\/p>

        • Navigieren Sie im Azure-Portal zur Ressource \u201eVirtuelles Netzwerk\u201c.<\/li>
        • Nutzen Sie die Funktion \u201eDiagnose und Behebung\u201c, um einen Antrag zu stellen.<\/li>
        • Nach der Genehmigung muss die betroffene VM neu gestartet werden.<\/li><\/ul>
          1. Alternative Abonnements nutzen<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

            Falls Ihre aktuelles Abonnement keine Ausnahme f\u00fcr Port 25 erlaubt, sollten Sie in Erw\u00e4gung ziehen, auf eine Enterprise-Subscription oder eine andere passende Kategorie umzusteigen, die keine Blockierung von Port 25 vorsieht.<\/p>

            1. Sicherheitsma\u00dfnahmen verst\u00e4rken<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

              Der Betrieb von Port 25 bringt Sicherheitsrisiken wie Spam-Verteilung mit sich. Daher sollten Sie zus\u00e4tzliche Ma\u00dfnahmen ergreifen wie:<\/p>

              • Einschr\u00e4nkungen auf IP- oder Firewall-Ebene, um nur autorisierten Datenverkehr zuzulassen.<\/li>
              • Implementierung von Mechanismen zur Missbrauchserkennung und -verhinderung.<\/li><\/ul>

                Zukunftsaussichten zu Port 25 auf Azure<\/strong><\/p>

                Microsoft hat derzeit keine Pl\u00e4ne angek\u00fcndigt, Port 25 vollst\u00e4ndig f\u00fcr alle Abonnements zu blockieren. Dennoch ist es m\u00f6glich, dass sich die Richtlinien zuk\u00fcnftig \u00e4ndern k\u00f6nnten, um Sicherheitsstandards weiter zu erh\u00f6hen. Deswegen pr\u00fcfen Sie, ob Ihr Abonnement eine Ausnahme f\u00fcr Port 25 erlaubt, und beantragen Sie diese gegebenenfalls rechtzeitig.<\/p>

                Verfolgen Sie regelm\u00e4\u00dfig die Richtlinien-Updates von Microsoft, um auf \u00c4nderungen vorbereitet zu sein.<\/p>

                Falls das in Ihrem Abonnement nicht m\u00f6glich ist, finden Sie alternative Hosting-Anbieter, die diesen Service bieten, oder betreiben Sie die SEPPmail Appliance bei sich im Rechenzentrum. Alternativ wechseln Sie in die SEPPmail.cloud, falls das Ihre Unternehmensrichtlinie und das Setup der Appliance erlauben.<\/p>
